Dance is an important part of cultural life in our society, as the most ancient form of human communication.
We are group of cultural promoters with a love for dance that founded a non-profit organization in 2017. The primary aim of the foundation is to promote ballet in Mexico.
Those of us who are part of ProDanza are committed to reinforcing, promoting and spreading dance in all of its expressions.
We support dancers in the course of their training, while also promoting the entry of up-and-coming dancers in this exciting career.
We seek to strengthen culture in our community with the most ancient of human expressions: dance.

Dance is a tool that enriches and elevates the cultural level of our country, taking ballet to a new standard of excellence in Mexico.
ProDanza endeavors to carry out projects that that have a lasting impact on Mexico’s cultural scene through the art form of dance in all of its manifestations.
Our aim is to sponsor dancers training for a professional career so they can aspire to a sustainable, successful, and decent life plan.
Among our objectives, we envision:
The creation of a scholarship fund for dancers that allows them to study and perfect their craft at the finest schools in the world.
A support program for dancers in transition, when they are facing the completion of their training as they prepare for a new life.
Contributing to and supporting the Compañía Nacional de Danza to expand the scope of its projects and undertakings related to the nationwide and international dissemination of ballet and the well-being of its dancers.
To support projects and programs at schools and ballet companies in Mexico.
Co-produce ballets with public and private institutions.
Promote Mexican choreographers in Mexico and abroad.
To foster the exchange of dance masters and national and international choreographers in the principal dance groups in the country.

An initiative spearheaded by Greta Elizondo in collaboration with Swans for Relief to the creation of APOYARTE (SupportArt) to help dancers living in Mexico who are experiencing economic hardship from the COVID-19 pandemic.
To receive support from the program you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a professional dancer who has resided in Mexico for the last two years.
- Confirm that dance has been your main source of income for at least the last two years.
- Have seen your income decline as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Be a taxpayer registered with the SAT (Mexican Tax Administration Service) able to provide an invoice or receipt for fees stamped by the SAT.
- Have reference letters from at least two professionals in the field of dance.
Send your request by e-mail to the Prodanza Foundation (apoyarte@prodanza.org), including the following:.
- A description of your situation
- An updated curriculum
- Tangible documentation of your income and losses by presenting the following support documentation:
1. The acknowledgment of receipt for your last two SAT tax returns from 2020.
2. Canceled contracts or documentation confirming it.
Each request for support will be reviewed by the Prodanza Foundation board and program participants.
Support will be granted only once and will not exceed five thousand Mexican pesos.
All information will remain confidential.
